
This procedure will be performed under local anesthesia. In most cases, there are no restrictions after the procedure regarding driving or returning to work. Our endodontist is available for consultation if any issues arise following your treatment.

If your physician or general dentist has advised antibiotic premedication due to heart valve replacement, mitral valve prolapse (MVP), implants, hip, knee, cardiac, or other prostheses, phen fen use, or rheumatic heart disease, ensure you take the prescribed antibiotic one hour before your appointment. If you are able to take ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve), these medications can help reduce inflammation when taken pre-operatively. We recommend taking two tablets of either medication 2–4 hours before your endodontic therapy.
